Partoral Reflection

Past two years at least, I remember that our church mini-van had a slow air leak in one of the tires. So, it was a ritual every two weeks to pump up the tire. I just thought there was a defect in the seal of the tire so that air leaked. Then, just last week, when the front wheel was turned to left, I saw a nail in the middle of the tire tread. I was stunned as this was probably in the tire for several years, causing the slow leak. I got it to a tire shop and removed the nail, then plugged it to prevent air leak. This reminded me of what it’s like when you have sin stuck in your life. Slowly the air leaks out of you but you ignore the cause. Over time, you get used to the sin and you accommodate by accepting the consequences of your sin. The problem with sin is that just like the nail, unless it is pulled out, gotten rid of, it will continue to make you leak. We need to examine our life to see the cause of leak in our life and get rid of the nail, the sin, in our life. Seek the Holy Spirit and apply the fix of putting the blood of Jesus to wash away your sin

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse offers reassurance and encouragement, reminding individuals that God is present, powerful, and supportive during times of fear and difficulty.
