CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION

On Thursday, we had a major snow storm with more than 35cm of snow fall. This caused what is known as ‘snow day.’ This is where all the schools, colleges, universities, close due to too much snow. Kids and students love this because it is an unexpected holiday where they can stay home and do nothing. Sometimes, we too want to do nothing, but life doesn’t stop for too much snow. Personally, I don’t like snow days. It is not a day off for me, rather there is extra work of snow clearing plus all the regular work needs to get done. The irony of snow storm was that it was forecasted but the actual amount of snow was way more than anticipated and snow clearing people couldn’t keep up. This reminded me of the fact that we are told about the Second Coming of Jesus. This will take place, but we don’t know when. Regardless, we are told to get ready, but how many of us are actually ready? If we are not ready for a snow storm, how can we get ready for the Second Coming? I pray that we will all be awake, alert and pray that we are ready for the Second Coming of Jesus.
