Partoral Reflection
It is hard to believe but we are less than one month away from celebrating Christmas. As well, we have only about a month before the year 2025 is over. As we will begin the month of December, taking us into the busy Christmas season, we are also celebrating the Christian season of Advent. Advent means ‘coming’ and it counts down four Sundays before Christmas. We are living in between two Advents. We celebrate the first coming of Jesus that happened some 2000 years ago, but we are also eagerly waiting for the Second Coming of Jesus. During this time of Advent, I pray that we will not get swept away in the work, friends and family gatherings that we forget the real reason for the season. Advent is a time of preparing for the Coming of Jesus Christ. We do this through prayer, meditation and self-reflection about getting ready to meet the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in a personal way.
The Clergy
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse offers reassurance and encouragement, reminding individuals that God is present, powerful, and supportive during times of fear and difficulty.
