SUNDAY SERVICE LIVE
SCRIPTURE:
V3b So they went out and got into a boat, but that night they caught nothing. 4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
V5 He called out to them, “Friends/children, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. 6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. 7 Then the disciples whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “IT is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. 9When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. 11 Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.
Sermon Points:
1. Without Jesus we can do nothing
2. Purpose in emptiness
3. Jesus loves you

Partoral Reflection
When we come to church, we come to worship Jesus. But the reality is that we all come with bags filled with personal burdens. This can be difficulties at work, home, finances and struggles with addictions, illnesses, stresses as well as fears. Above all, we are all sinners coming together to meet with Jesus. We pray that we will meet Jesus at church and everything will turn out fine. But, sometimes it doesn’t. Problem we have is that we have not learned to let everything down at the feet of Jesus on the cross. We like to own our problems, struggles and fears. Couple of weeks ago, KM had a guest Rev. Gang Chan who shared many Gospel songs and one that stood out for me was when he said we need to surrender to Jesus. When we lift our hands up, we are surrendering to say I am at your mercy. Surrender means we are no longer in control of our lives. I pray that we come to church and surrender everything to Jesus and leave all our bags at the feet of Jesus.
The Clergy
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse offers reassurance and encouragement, reminding individuals that God is present, powerful, and supportive during times of fear and difficulty.
